Historic twin elephant birth reported at Pinnawala

An elephant at the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala has given birth to twin baby elephants.

The elephant named ‘Surangi’ has reportedly given birth to two male elephants.

According to reports, the first calf was born at 04 am today, while the second was born at 10 am.

This is the first semi-domesticated twin elephant birth to be recorded in the history of Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
